Dr. Richard Bustamante is a compassionate dentist dedicated to providing personalized, patient centered dental care in the Clermont community. Born in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in Barranquilla, Colombia, Dr. Bustamante earned his dental degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in 2013. He continued his education in the United States through the Advanced Standing Program at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Bustamante believes every patient deserves to feel comfortable, informed, and confident in their dental care. He takes the time to understand each patient’s concerns and goals before developing personalized treatment plans designed to support their unique oral health needs. Building lasting relationships with patients is an important part of his approach to dentistry, and he is committed to creating a welcoming experience for every person he serves.
Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Bustamante is passionate about improving access to quality dental care for diverse communities. His commitment to serving patients from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds led him to become a medical interpreter through the “Promoting Access to Language Services in Oral Health” project. This experience further strengthened his dedication to clear communication and inclusive patient care.

Outside of the office, Dr. Bustamante enjoys traveling, discovering new restaurants, and spending quality time with his family and friends.
