I always knew I wanted to work in healthcare, but my interest in dentistry began when I got braces in high school. What started as a way to straighten my teeth ended up boosting my confidence and sparking a fascination with how dentistry can transform not just smiles, but lives. Shadowing a local dentist later confirmed that dentistry was the right path for me – a blend of science, hands-on work, trust, and compassion to make a real difference in people’s lives.
Dr. Garrett Wilson attended the University of Kentucky where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. He then went on to graduate from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry and is the first and only dentist in his family.
What he enjoys most about dentistry is the trust between the doctor and the patient and the longstanding relationship that develops. Dr. Wilson understands the responsibility of that trust and is both excited and passionate about providing dental care to his patients and the community.
Dr. Wilson relocated to Dallas, TX with his fiancé and was most excited about trying new foods and exploring everything to do in Dallas. In his spare time, Dr. Wilson enjoys traveling, reading, watching movies, and going to the gym. He is an avid fan of college and professional basketball and football.
Dr. Charmaine Thompson is a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist with over 15 years of experience providing compassionate, child-focused dental care. Raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, she dreamed of becoming a doctor from a young age. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she discovered her passion for working with children and decided to specialize in pediatric dentistry.
Following dental school, Dr. Thompson completed a two-year pediatric dentistry residency at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, further refining her expertise in creating healthy, confident smiles for young patients. She enjoys connecting with children, understanding their world, and guiding them through a positive dental experience that sets the foundation for lifelong oral health.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Thompson balances her professional life with being a dedicated mother to her three children, Aasha (8), Jase (2), and Jayden (6 months). In her spare time, she enjoys reading, shopping, and traveling with her partner, Jose.
Dr. Sung Han is a board-certified Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon who comes from a family of dentists. He developed an early interest in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery through his father. Inspired by before-and-after pictures of his father’s jaw surgery patients, Dr. Han also wanted to become an oral maxillofacial surgeon to help people using his hands.
He went on to receive his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Brown University, graduating with Honors. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Detroit Mercy, School of Dentistry in Michigan. He was invited to be a member of the OKU National Dental Honor Society and was the recipient of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) dental student award of his graduating class.
Dr. Han earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Southern California. Afterwards, he completed a 1-year General Surgery internship during which time he was nominated Resident Physician of the Month. He then finished his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Loma Linda University Medical Center where his training focused on dentoalveolar surgery (wisdom teeth removal, bone grafting, and dental implants), oral pathology, anesthesia, facial trauma, and orthognathic surgery. His research during residency focused on in-office anesthesia and multimodal pain management.
Dr. Han is an active member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Han is fluent in English and Korean. Outside of the office, Dr. Han enjoys singing (he was a member of a famous college A cappella group), cooking Thai and Japanese dishes, watching European soccer, and spending time with his wife, daughter, and dog.
