Stephanie Lomeli, DDS General Dentist
Dr. Stephanie Lomeli, D.D.S., received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) in 2017, where she graduated with highest honors, equivalent to Magna Cum Laude and distinctions in Research Honors and Teaching Honors. While in dental school Dr. Lomeli received recognition for her clinical achievement as a top performer and producer, high academic achievement in her clinical courses, and multiple awards for her research and service to the community. Her love of dentistry and teaching lead Dr. Lomeli to tutor hundred of students during her time at UTHSCSA in the area of Complete Dentures, Fix Prosthodontics, Operative, Handskills and Waxing. Upon graduating dental school Dr. Lomeli became high skilled in Cosmetic Dentistry completing cases in Esthetic crown lengthening, esthetic crowns and veneers, restoring implant crowns, Invisiline certified and sedation dentistry.
Dr. Lomeli, joins Ideal Dental after completing her post doctoral studies in an Advance Education in General Dentistry Residency at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). Dr. Lomeli received further training in full mouth rehabilitation, Sports Dentistry, orthodontics, Head and Neck pain management of TMJ disorders, peripheral neuropathy, and managing various occlusal complication. While at UCLA Dr. Lomeli continued to build on her Oral Surgery, preprostheic surgery and periodontal surgery skills that she initially developed during her pre-doctoral training, and expanded her repertoire to include implant planning and placement. Prior to attending dental school Dr. Lomeli grew up and attended high school in Houston, Texas. Upon graduating high school Dr. Lomeli went on to Texas Tech University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, and a Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies.
Dr. Lomeli has been very involve in dentistry through out her career, going above and beyond. While at Tech she was the president of the Pre- Dental Society. Her leadership skills continued to develop in dental school as the president of the Hispanic Student Dental Association. Dr. Lomeli is currently involved in the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the San Antonio Dental Association, The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentist, The Academy of Osteointegration, and The Academy of General Dentistry on the national, state and local level. Dr. Lomeli is also a member of the Spear Study Club where she receives continuing education on advanced comprehensive care. When Dr. Lomeli is not practicing dentistry she is opening time with her husband. She enjoys spending her free time working out and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. She also enjoys hiking, traveling and spending time with her family.
