Emergency Dental Care
When a toothache, abscessed tooth or other dental problem occurs, you will be glad to know that our dentists near White Settlement offer skilled emergency dental care.
Where Can I Find an Emergency Dental Office Close By?
Knowing that urgent dental care is available close by will ease your mind when a dental emergency strikes. Call us to arrange an appointment and we will fit you in as soon as possible. Delaying care could cause additional dental problems that are more expensive to treat later.
What Do Emergency Dental Clinics Charge?
Our dentist would have to examine your teeth before answering that question. Even if you know you need a tooth pulled, the cost for a dental extraction varies from patient to patient, depending on where the tooth is in your mouth, the difficulty of the extraction and if you have insurance. Our dentist will let you know the cost for your emergency dental work after your examination. If you have dental insurance, it may pay for a portion of our fees, depending on the policy.
Emergency Dental Services
What Services Will I Find at an Emergency Dental Clinic?
You will find services designed to save a tooth, relieve pain and treat infections at our office. Emergency dental services also prevent further damage to a tooth. Examples of just some of the services that we provide include:
Emergency Extractions: Our dentists will try to save your tooth, but in some cases, it is not possible. If our dentist has to extract the tooth, he or she will ensure your comfort during the procedure with a local anesthetic.
Emergency Wisdom Teeth Extractions: Our skilled dentists can perform emergency wisdom teeth extractions if the teeth are causing you pain or discomfort.
Root Canals: Dentists employ root canal therapy to save teeth when there is an infection in the pulp. Root canals are not painful, and our dentists will insure your comfort.
Root Canals for Children: Children’s baby teeth need saving as well. Our dentist will do a root canal on a baby tooth, unless it is going to fall out in the next few days. A baby tooth holds the place for an adult tooth, to ensure that it comes in straight.
Tooth Extractions: Our emergency dentists will also perform routine extractions, ensuring that the patient does not feel any pain.
When Should I Consider Having Emergency Dental Work Done?
If you have an abscess, severe pain or a dental problem that needs immediate attention in order to save your tooth, you should contact our emergency dental clinic right now.
Abscessed Teeth: Gum disease or untreated decay can cause abscessed teeth, which cause severe tooth pain, swelling and a fever. Contact our office today if you have an abscessed tooth and we will arrange for a dentist to see you as soon as possible.
Broken or Cracked Teeth: If left untreated, broken or cracked teeth may become infected. Visiting a dentist is crucial to the health of your teeth in this situation.
Broken or Fractured Jaws: Contact our office immediately if you suspect that you have a broken or fractured jaw. If you have other injuries or you are having trouble breathing, go to a hospital emergency room.
Broken, Loose or Lost Crowns: Our emergency dentist can repair a crown or get you a temporary replacement.
Dental Infections: Any dental infection needs immediate treatment.
Knocked-out Teeth: If your tooth was knocked out, find it and rinse it off. If you can, put the tooth back into the socket. Otherwise, put the tooth in milk and call our office immediately. If you do not have milk, you can keep the tooth under your tongue. Do not try this on a small child who lost a tooth.
Loose or Lost Fillings: Sometimes underlying decay causes fillings to come loose or fall out. You may feel minor pain, as the exposed tooth can be sensitive to air. Call our office to schedule an appointment so one of our dentists can examine your tooth.
Severe Facial or Gum Swelling: If your face or gums are severely swollen, contact our office. We will arrange an appointment for you with our emergency dentist, who can determine the cause of the swelling.
Severe Toothaches: Call our office to schedule an appointment with one of our dentists for emergency care. A toothache is usually a sign of a larger problem. Our dentist will find the cause of your pain and treat the problem.
Are Emergency Dental Clinics Expensive?
We do our best to keep our patient’s emergency dental clinic costs affordable, so everyone can have the care they deserve. To keep dental costs low, we suggest the MetroCare Dental Plan to our patients. The plan is not insurance, as everyone is accepted and there are no exclusions. The plan works alongside dental insurance, or it can serve as a low cost substitute for dental insurance. Contact our office to learn more about how the plan works.
