Dr. Ryan Snyder grew up in Chambersburg, PA.  He earned his Bachelor's degree in Biology at The University of Pittsburgh and his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Pittsburgh as well.  He joined the U.S. Army immediately following dental school and served in the U.S. Army Dental Corps as a GP for 7 years.  He was in the initial push into Iraq in 2003 and served many humanitarian missions there after combat operations ceased.  Following that, CPT Snyder was chosen by the U.S. Army to complete Orthodontic training at The University of Louisville.  Following Orthodontic training, he went to Ft. Hood, TX to be the Chief of Orthodontics and teach the Orthodontic sector to the 2 year AEGD residents at the Program there.  After several years there he was recruited to be a mentor at the Tri-Service Orthodontic Residency Program at the Air Force Post Graduate Dental School at Lackland AFB.  There he finished off as Program Director of the program and retired from the military. Outside of the office, Dr. Snyder enjoys outdoor activities and spending time at Lake Travis on sunny days.

Dr. Varun Kulkarni has served as a Faculty for Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Midwestern University. Currently a full-time private practitioner, Dr. Kulkarni combines his teaching abilities and clinical skills to deliver exceptional patient care. Additionally, Dr. Kulkarni has published over 50 articles in Immunology, Periodontology, Implant surgery, Oral Surgery, Esthetic, and Plastics surgery and has presented numerous lectures and surgical demonstrations. He has also lectured nationally and internationally on dental implants and periodontal procedures. He also serves on the Editorial Boards of many peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Kulkarni is the recipient of the Distinguished Nobel Biocare Fellowship and Straumann Implant Fellowship.

I attended dental school at UTHealth San Antonio School of Dentistry. Here I was able to attend one of the top schools in the nation for my dental education. Not only did I receive top of the line clinical training, but I learned that communication and understanding is key to fostering trust with all patients. I believe this trust will allow me to reach my ultimate goal, which is teaching all patients that their oral health is the first link in the chain to total body health. When beginning treatment on a new patient, I like to work together WITH the patient to determine which treatment is best for them.I enjoy spending my free time with family and friends, as well as, being a bad golfer. I hope to finally spend time exploring what I think is a great city in San Antonio. I look forward to meeting you and your loved ones, as we start or continue your path to great health.

Dr. Buhler was born in Omaha, Nebraska. He grew up in a military family. His family found themselves moving every 2-4 years, due to his father’s employment in the United States Air Force. Dr. Buhler has lived in all regions of the United States, while growing up, to include Nebraska, Alaska, Montana, California, Kentucky, and North Dakota. He even lived a term of 3 years in Germany, as an adolescent, while his father was stationed oversees for his employment.

Dr. Buhler graduated from Red River High School in Grand Forks, North Dakota. After HS Graduation he went to Utah and attended Utah Valley University on a Cross Country and Track and Field scholarship. After college, he was accepted and received a Military Health Profession Scholarship, in which he then moved to Oklahoma City, OK to attend Dental School at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. This is where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

Following Dental School he was accepted into the San Antonio Military Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program in San Antonio, TX. He is a member of AAOMS and board eligible for Diplomate status of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Buhler enjoys many activities in his spare time. He has two children, Matthew and Charlotte, which is were he prefers to spend most of his spare time, hanging out with his children. Him and his kids enjoy the outdoors playing at the park or pool. They also love spending time reading together, and catching up on school day adventures. Dr. Buhler is an avid runner. Most of his free time delegated to exercising is with his marathon training. His background with collegiate running, and past successes with competitive long distance road racing, have kept his passions soaring high, as he strives to continue to meet goals in the long distance running events. Dr. Buhler has hopes and ambitions to compete in several marathons in the near future, and for as long as his body will allow in life. He also enjoys riding his road bike, reading a good book, hiking adventures with his kids, and the swimming pool or lake.

Dr. ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Erin Egan grew up in Illinois, Georgia, and Texas. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Finance with a certificate in Pre-Health Professions at The University of Texas at Austin, and her DDS at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Dr. Egan entered the dental field because her mother's experiences with dentistry made her want to improve her patients' health and self-confidence. Her favorite aspect of dentistry is getting patients out of pain and restoring smiles. Outside of the office, Dr. Egan enjoys exploring new places, amateur gardening, and spending time with her family.
