Dr. Michael Caparas began his dental career in Dallas, TX when he purchased a dilapidated practice on the brink of ruins. He and his wife worked countless hours creating an environment where patients could feel comforted and welcomed. The success was obvious by patient responses and community support. Dr. Caparas decided to parlay that success and open an additional location. He brought on his first associate doctor and continued to build his dream of creating a group practice that would provide all phases of dentistry and thus, Metroplex Dental Care was born.A couple years later Metroplex Dental Care acquired North Texas Dental Consultants (NTDC). NTDC was a "well" established group practice with over 10 years of history in North Texas. Following the acquisition, Dr. Caparas added expanded services and hours and along with efficient systems, the offices exploded in growth and locations. Soon after the acquisition, Metroplex Dental Care expanded locations to additional cities within Texas. Metroplex Dental Care now provides general and specialty services to thousands of families throughout Texas.Dr. Caparas holds an AAS from Edmonds Community College, a BS in Psychology from Western Washington University, and a DMD in dentistry from Nova South-eastern University. He is a member of, American Dental Association, Washington Dental Association, Seattle-King County Dental Society, America Academy of Facial Aesthetics, Texas Dental Association, Dallas County Dental Society, America Orthodontic Society.Dr. Caparas resides in Kirkland, Washington with his wife and three boys.

Dr. Gordon Gill grew up in the Renton area. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Public Health at the University of Washington, and his DDS at the University of Washington School of Dentistry.

Dr. Gill entered the dental field because it allows him to help others in a technical and meaningful way. His favorite aspect of dentistry is the ability to improve others dental health and confidence with their teeth.

Outside of the office, Dr. Gill cherishes his time with his dog, fiancé, family, and friends. He also enjoys working out and exploring Washington. A passionate sports fan, Dr. Gill enjoys watching football, basketball, and now hockey.

I chose dentistry because of the variety it offers. While many procedures may be similar in nature, no two days are ever the same. Each patient brings a unique perspective, set of needs, and personal goals, which means every treatment plan must be thoughtfully tailored. This constant variation challenges me to stay engaged, adaptable, and focused on delivering personalized, patient-centered dental care.

One of the most rewarding aspects of dentistry is the opportunity to combine multiple disciplines into one profession. Dentistry blends science, precision, creativity, engineering, and problem solving in a way that truly resonates with how my mind works. From diagnosing conditions and planning treatments to restoring function and aesthetics, every step requires both technical skill and thoughtful decision making. It is a field that continuously challenges me and satisfies my natural drive to solve problems while also creating something meaningful for each patient.

I find a great deal of satisfaction in the details, whether it is perfecting the fit of a restoration, improving the function of a bite, or enhancing the appearance of a smile. Dentistry allows me to work with both structure and artistry, ensuring that treatments are not only effective and long lasting but also natural looking and comfortable. This balance between form and function is what makes the profession so fulfilling.

Beyond the technical side, what truly drives my passion for dentistry is the connection I build with my patients. I believe that great dental care starts with trust, communication, and understanding. Every patient has their own history with dental care, and for some, that may include anxiety or uncertainty. My goal is to create an environment where patients feel comfortable, heard, and confident in their care. Taking the time to explain procedures, answer questions, and discuss options helps patients feel more in control of their oral health and more at ease during their visits.

I also value the importance of education in dentistry. Helping patients understand the reasons behind their treatment or daily oral hygiene habits empowers them to take an active role in maintaining their health. Preventive care is a key component of long term success, and I enjoy guiding patients toward habits and routines that support healthy smiles for years to come.

Another reason I was drawn to dentistry is the tangible impact it has on people’s lives. Improving someone’s oral health can significantly enhance their overall well being, confidence, and quality of life. Whether it is relieving discomfort, restoring function, or helping a patient feel proud of their smile again, those outcomes are incredibly meaningful. Seeing the difference that quality dental care can make reinforces why I chose this profession.

Dentistry also requires a commitment to lifelong learning. Techniques, materials, and technologies are constantly evolving, and staying current is essential to providing the best possible care. I am dedicated to continuing education and regularly seek opportunities to expand my knowledge and refine my skills. This allows me to offer modern, efficient, and comfortable treatment options while maintaining a high standard of care.
