His wife, Shannon, is a Spanish teacher at Allen High School, and they have two girls, Brenna and Angelina. He enjoys watching all Dallas area sports teams and likes to play ice hockey at the local rinks. His dental practice focuses on every area of need from simple maintenance to full smile makeovers. Dr. Abdo Ismail, DDS, MS, is a board-certified periodontist dedicated to providing advanced periodontal and implant dentistry with a focus on precision, compassionate care, and long-term oral health. Born in Geneva, Switzerland, and originally from Libya, Dr. Ismail completed his dental education at Modern Science and Arts (MSA) University in Cairo, Egypt, graduating in 2009.

Driven by a passion for restorative dentistry, Dr. Ismail continued his education in the United States, completing a Restorative Preceptorship at UCLA in 2011. He later pursued advanced training in periodontics and implant dentistry at the University of Kentucky, completing a fellowship in 2019 followed by a three-year periodontal residency. During his residency, he served as Chief Resident and earned his Master of Science degree in 2023.

Dr. Ismail is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology. His commitment to advancing periodontal care has also led to published research in respected dental journals and recognition with the Billy Pennel Award from the Southern Academy of Periodontology in 2022.

Dr. Ismail chose dentistry because it combines science, precision, artistry, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives. Dr. Briggs, DDS is an experienced endodontist dedicated to providing precise, compassionate care focused on helping patients preserve their natural teeth. She earned her dental degree from West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 2006 and completed her endodontic residency at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 2008. She was also inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society, recognizing dental students who demonstrate academic achievement, ethical character, professional potential, and leadership.

Dr. Briggs chose endodontics after discovering during dental school that she genuinely enjoyed endodontic treatment. Encouragement from her endodontics department chair, who recognized her talent in the specialty, further inspired her to pursue advanced training. She particularly enjoys challenging cases, including root canal retreatments, locating missed canals, navigating difficult curves, and treating highly calcified teeth. She finds great satisfaction in giving patients the opportunity to save their natural teeth whenever possible.

Outside of dentistry, she enjoys spending time with her family, baking decorated royal icing sugar cookies, and making sourdough bread. She is also a proud pet owner to Saggy, her three-year-old English bulldog, and Lola, her 18-year-old Quaker parrot. Saggy has a special family connection, as she was named after her late father’s favorite thoroughbred horse, Saggy’s Boy, which he rode during his career as a jockey.
