Dr. Alia Chakaki, a board-certified periodontist with over 20 years of experience in restoring and maintaining oral health. She earned her dental degree from the University of Damascus in Syria in 2000 and completed her specialty training in periodontics at Case Western Reserve University in 2007.
Dr. Chakaki is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a recognition that reflects her expertise and commitment to the highest standards of care. She is highly skilled in treating gum disease, placing dental implants, and performing advanced periodontal procedures-all with a gentle and patient-centered approach.

My passion for dentistry began during my time at the University of Houston, where I was exploring career paths and discovered my calling in the dental field. During my undergraduate years, I became actively involved in the pre-dental chapter of the American Student Dental Association, serving as both a dedicated member and student leader. These experiences helped strengthen my commitment to patient care, leadership, and community service.
Through my involvement with ASDA, I had the opportunity to participate in numerous volunteer and outreach initiatives, including Texas Mission of Mercy, Give Kids A Smile, San Jose Clinic, and a dental mission trip to Guatemala, among many others. These experiences reinforced my passion for providing compassionate dental care and serving underserved communities with limited access to oral healthcare services.
My dedication to dentistry comes from a deep desire to relieve pain, restore smiles, and help patients regain confidence in their oral health. I believe that quality dental care can have a meaningful impact on a person’s overall health, comfort, and self-confidence. I am passionate about creating positive dental experiences and helping patients feel informed, supported, and comfortable throughout their care.
