As your Orthodontist, our team will treat you as if you are a member of our family in our facility. Dr. Karkuri graduated with honors from Garyounis University College of Dentistry Libya and earned his Bachelor in Dental Surgery degree in 2006. After working for three years as a General Dental practitioner, he continued to pursue his dream of becoming a specialist in Orthodontics at New York University College of Dentistry and graduated with a specialty degree in 2015. Later that year, he became board certified in Orthodontics.He has 13 years of clinical practice experience in various settings, 10 of those years were dedicated to being a specialist in Orthodontics, which gives him the clinical experience to take care of complex Orthodontic cases with various techniques, including Invisalign, Traditional and Clear braces. With his knowledge, clinical skills, compassion, and the care of our staff–we will strive to give you the best dental experience.
Dr. Karla Macias, DDS, is a compassionate general dentist dedicated to helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles through personalized, high-quality dental care. Originally from Matamoros, Mexico, she grew up in Garland, Texas, where she developed a passion for serving her community and improving patients' oral health.
Dr. Macias earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of North Texas before receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Texas A&M College of Dentistry. She was drawn to dentistry because of its ability to make a lasting impact on a person's health, confidence, and quality of life. She believes a healthy smile is one of the greatest investments a person can make—and that your smile is the best accessory you can wear.
With a strong focus on preventive dentistry and patient education, Dr. Macias is passionate about helping patients understand the connection between oral health and overall wellness. She believes informed patients make confident decisions about their dental care and is committed to creating a welcoming, judgment-free environment where every patient feels heard, valued, and supported. Her goal is to build lasting relationships while helping patients maintain healthy smiles for life.
Outside of the office, Dr. Macias enjoys making memories with her husband and son. She loves traveling and exploring new adventures with her family. During the winter, you'll often find her snowboarding, while the warmer months are best spent relaxing and swimming by the pool.
Dr. Mona Stone is not only an esteemed oral and maxillofacial surgeon practicing full scope surgery, she is a public speaker, an activist, philanthropist and the cofounder to the grassroots organization Real Heroes Need Masks.
After receiving her dental degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, she went on to do a year of internship at Truman Medical Center and then a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Broward General Medical Center.
Dr. Stone practices the full scope of the specialty, including maxillofacial pathology, dentoalveolar surgery, implant surgery, maxillofacial reconstruction, microvascular surgery, facial cosmetic surgery and trauma surgery. She is also an attending surgeon at Baylor Medical Center Grapevine, Irving and at Methodist Hospital.
In addition to her role in the community, she is the mother of two beautiful children, Max and Sofia, an avid supporter of motor sports and Formula 1, and a TikTok creator and social media activist.
