Dr. Jerry Chiu was born and raised in New Jersey, but is proud to call himself an Austinite. As a child, he dreaded going to the dentist, but the saving grace was the comfort and compassion he felt in the chair by his dental professional. Years later, as a practicing oral surgeon, Dr. Chiu continues to emphasize the importance of providing compassionate care, yet maintaining professionalism and delivering safe and outstanding surgical expertise. Dr. Chiu obtained his doctor of dental surgery degree at Columbia University, where he was involved in international mission trips to Cambodia. He completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the competitive Medstar Washington Hospital Center, serving as chief resident in the final year. His training also included working at esteemed affiliated hospitals, such as the John Hopkins Hospital, DC Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Children’s National Hospital, and the National Institute of Health.

Dr. Chiu practices the full scope of oral surgery with special emphasis on outpatient sedation and anesthesia, dentoalveolar surgery, implantology, oral pathology, and soft and hard tissue reconstruction.

Outside of work, Dr. Chiu is an avid tennis player, scuba diver, foodie, and cyclist. You can find him cruising along Lady Bird Lake or eating his way through Austin in his spare time. He is also the proud father of a French bulldog named Cooper. Dr. Chiu enjoys traveling internationally and has backpacked in over 18 countries with even more trips in mind.

Dr. Dona Halloum, originally from Latakia, Syria, is a determined and passionate dentist currently based in the United States. After immigrating to the U.S. in 2013, Dr. Halloum embarked on a journey towards fulfilling a dream of becoming a dentist. Dr. Halloum first earned a degree in biology and later pursued a dental education from UT Health San Antonio. 
 
Driven by a deep appreciation for the field, Dr. Halloum chose dentistry due to its problem-solving nature and finds joy in the fact that in dentistry, there is always a solution to every problem and that everything is replaceable. This mindset allows Dr. Halloum to tailor an approach to suit each patient’s unique needs, providing them with the best possible care. 
 
Beyond their professional life, Dr. Halloum finds solace in attending concerts and music shows, immersing in the power of live performances, and currently working towards obtaining a certification in skydiving, demonstrating an adventurous spirit and willingness to take on new challenges. 
 
With a strong commitment to patients’ well-being and a zest for life outside of the office, Dr. Halloum continues to make a positive impact in the dental field while pursuing personal interests and hobbies.

Dr. Dip Desai graduated from Birmingham University where he then transferred to New York University to complete dental school. Dr. Desai’s love for dentistry stemmed from the desire to help people by changing their smiles because that is the first thing others notice. The relationships that he builds with patients over the course of their orthodontic treatment is very important to him.

In Dr. Desai’s spare time, his hobbies are exercising, swimming, biking and cooking. His main goal is to spend time with his family and their dog, Hazel.

Dr. Varun Kulkarni has served as a Faculty for Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Midwestern University.

Currently a full-time private practitioner, Dr. Kulkarni combines his teaching abilities and clinical skills to deliver exceptional patient care. Additionally, Dr. Kulkarni has published over 50 articles in Immunology, Periodontology, Implant surgery, Oral Surgery, Esthetic, and Plastics surgery and has presented numerous lectures and surgical demonstrations. He has also lectured nationally and internationally on dental implants and periodontal procedures. He also serves on the Editorial Boards of many peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Kulkarni is the recipient of the Distinguished Nobel Biocare Fellowship and Straumann Implant Fellowship.
