The team here is fantastic. From scheduling, to office visits, to cleaning and procedures, the team is above and beyond for their patients. It had been 7 years since my last dental visit, and after finally receiving healthcare again, I chose Ideal Dental. Vanessa, Tywana and Dr. Swayden handled my first exam. Vanessa was so sweet and comforting. Tawana gave reassurance and cares so much. Dr. Swayden was professional and succinct.
For my cleaning, Tywana took the time to remove years of nicotine staining and checked in with me often. I just had to give her a hug after. Next was a crown, which I’ve never had. Moses and Dr. Limerick took extraordinary care of me, too. Moses is so kind and patient. They were both very personable, and I could tell they love their jobs. They are a great team together and made me comfortable and relaxed during a stressful procedure. I find myself actually looking forward to my upcoming appointments instead of dreading them. Round of applause for this team of stars. -

Janet, the dental hygienist, was phenomenal! She was confident within her scope of practice, worked efficiently, and always kept a smile! I truly appreciate when she provided education to my 16 year old on not only the proper method to brush & floss but also advised the detrimental effects that could come about in not doing so. Doctor Chen is amazing! Even before I actually experienced her Kindness the reception desk was awesome and quick to retun my call although it was 10 minutes before closing time. They fit me in for a next day, first thing in the morning appointment.
I went in as a new patient expecting to get as far as x-rays and talk about a plan to get my teeth to the right state. Doctor Chen did more than that, She didn’t want me to leave without seeing her magnificent results. I had a small time frame which was totally my fault But she was more than willing to work with me. In just 30 minutes she boosted myself confidence and made me feel proud to smile. I wanted to hug her because she’s just a kind human being for doing more than what she needed to.

I made an appointment for a second opinion on a possible crown. Dr. Yang really took the time to sit down and go over the pros and cons of different treatment options. I really appreciated her honesty and help with deciding which treatment was best for me. I decided to get the tooth extracted. I had not had an extraction since I was a child so I struggled a bit afterwards. I called the office many times with questions and the staff was so understanding and helpful. Dr. Yang and her staff were there to put my mind at ease and help me through the recovery.
10 out of 10 would recommend the office. -

Amazing image work up on every tooth explained in detail by the dentist who did a very thorough job. Try to do the paperwork online before your appointment if you can. I already have my 6 month appt on the books!

I love this dental office and everyone there! I struggle with extremely bad dental anxiety and normally do my best to avoid going at all costs (I know, I know). However my first appointment with Dr. Ruth and Shannon went better than I ever could’ve expected. They listened to all of my concerns and really took my anxiety into account. They did everything to make me feel comfortable and at ease. This was the absolute best thing I could’ve hoped for when scheduling this appointment! I really do appreciate not just the Dentist but all the associates at this practice in San Marcos. I’ve had exams, teeth extracted, crown, and now two implants. I’m seventy years so believe me I’d have been terrified if I’d gone anywhere else. Check-in online prior to the appointment made for a very simple check-in upon arrival. The dental assistant Trayvon (sorry if misspelled) was very kind and explained everything thoroughly beforehand. As someone who has avoided the dentist at all costs due to uneasiness from a bad experience elsewhere, I was forced to go due to a severe toothache. Absolute best decision possible! From Tiffany over the phone and handling billing, to Selena being the first one to see me, to Dr. Arsto, and Emily finishing my experience – everyone was comforting, helpful, and supportive. Oh, and nonjudgmental with my uneasiness of dentists!
I even went to get a second opinion nearby due to price, and Ideal Dental was not only better priced, but a nicer atmosphere and newer equipment. Even with me telling them I wanted to get a second opinion, they were understanding, supportive, and reassured me if I needed them they were there. I quickly returned.
